The FIA World Endurance Championship has visited São Paulo five times so far, producing five memorable overall winners at the Rolex 6 Hours of São Paulo, so let’s take a look at each of those incredible wins from the last five events.

2025, Cadillac Takes Historic First Win!
The most recent race in 2025 saw Cadillac claim its first-ever WEC victory, as the No. 12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series.R of Alex Lynn, Will Stevens, and Norman Nato delivered a historic breakthrough for the American manufacturer. Remarkably, Cadillac also secured a 1-2 in the race, with the No. 12 entry leading away the No. 38 entry which also allowed Jenson Button to take his final podium in WEC before retirement.
“You can’t imagine what it feels like; it means everything, and I’m hugely proud of everyone. It sounds so simple on paper, but it’s so difficult to do. We executed a very good race – not a perfect one, but we put it all together – and this is just the beginning. I think we can achieve everything we dream of with this partnership. The sky’s the limit, and I’m so excited!” – Alex Lynn, Cadillac Hertz Team Jota Driver

2024, Toyota Become the most Successful Brand
When the WEC returned to Brazil in 2024 after a decade away, Toyota secured its second victory at Interlagos. The No. 8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid, driven by Sebastian Buemi, Brendon Hartley, and Ryo Hirakawa, came out on top in the championship’s long-awaited return. It was also a 1-2 for the Japanese marquee, with Car 7 in second, and this also allowed Toyota to become the most succesful manufacturer at the Rolex 6 Hours of São Paulo.

2014, Porsche claim breakthrough WEC win
The previous event had taken place a decade before, all the way back in 2014. In this event the No. 14 Porsche 919 Hybrid gave Porsche its first victory of the new LMP1-Hybrid era, however it was bittersweet beacuse of a huge crash for the Former F1 Driver Mark Webber in the sister No. 20 Porsche which took the Aussie out of contention. Nevertheless, Neel Jani, Marc Lieb, and Romain Dumas stood on the top step of the podium for Porsche after a breakthrough performance.

2013, Audi Sport’s Dominant Display
Audi’s only overall win in São Paulo came a year earlier from Porsches in 2013, when André Lotterer, Marcel Fässler, and Benoît Tréluyer guided the No. 1 Audi Sport Team Joest R18 to victory. It was a dominant performance by the soon to be 13 time winners of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with Audi locking out the front row in qualifying, and eventually the No. 1 car lead away a 1-2 finish for the German brand.

2012, The first 6 Hours of São Paulo
The inaugural 6 Hours of São Paulo in 2012 was won by Toyota, as in just the 3rd race of the TR030 Hybrid’s journey, the car won! Toyota remarkably beat Audi for overall honors in LMP1, to give Nicolas Lapierre and Alexander Wurz the victory in the No. 7 Toyota TS030 Hybrid.
Now, as the WEC returns to Interlagos once again in 2026, who will be the next team and drivers to add their names to the São Paulo winners’ list?
