
For the second time this season, BMW M Team WRT has claimed victory in the FIA World Endurance Championship’s Hypercar class. The No. 15 BMW M Hybrid V8 wins the Rolex 6 Hours of São Paulo following a commanding performance and a strategy-driven battle with the No. 35 Alpine, which ended when the A424 made its final pit stop.
Dries Vanthoor, Raffaele Marciello, and Kevin Magnussen secured their first WEC victory together and delivered BMW its second overall win of the season. The result followed the manufacturer’s memorable 1-2 finish at Spa-Francorchamps, led by the No. 20 entry.
The victory also adds another memorable chapter to Kevin Magnussen’s illustrious history at São Paulo, where the Dane famously secured his first, and only Formula 1 pole position with Haas in 2022.
The No. 15 BMW showed strong pace from the opening lap, with Magnussen making an excellent start and immediately moving into second place. After misfortune caused the Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA entries to fall down the order, BMW took control of the race, with Vanthoor eventually crossing the finish line to seal the victory.

The BMW M Motorsport-liveried Hypercar finished 2.254 seconds ahead of the No. 51 Ferrari 499P. The two Cadillac V-Series.R entries recovered to finish third and fourth respectively, while the No. 83 AF Corse Ferrari completed the top five.
BMW M Team WRT’s No. 20 car produced an impressive recovery drive to finish sixth after starting 17th overall. However, with approximately ten minutes remaining, Robin Frijns and Antonio Fuoco made contact, sending the No. 50 Ferrari into a spin and dropping it to eighth at the finish.
After a promising start to the weekend, which included Harry Tincknell topping the opening practice session, Aston Martin endured a difficult race. Both Valkyries nevertheless recovered to score points, with the No. 007 finishing seventh and the No. 009 taking ninth, either side of the No. 50 Ferrari. The previously leading No. 35 Alpine slipped down the order during the closing stages after making its final pit stop.
BMW M Team WRT’s second victory of the season moves the team back into the lead of the Hypercar championship, aided by a disappointing result for Le Mans winners Toyota Gazoo Racing. The No. 7 Toyota finished 12th overall, while the sister No. 8 car retired following an incident involving one of the Genesis GMR-001 entries.For the second time this season BMW M Team WRT win in the Hypercar Class. Back-to-Back Corvette Wins, as Racing Team Turkey take first WEC victory
In LMGT3, Racing Team Turkey by TF Sport delivered Chevrolet its second consecutive WEC victory, following the sister TF Sport entry’s win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Peter Dempsey, Salih Yoluç, and Charlie Eastwood claimed the victory after a commanding performance that saw the No. 34 Corvette Z06 GT3.R remain firmly in contention throughout the race. The trio also capitalized on setbacks for several leading contenders, including Aston Martin, Lexus, and Ford.
The Brazilian-themed No. 69 Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 EVO finished second in the hands of Dan Harper, Parker Thompson, and Anthony McIntosh. The BMW was followed across the line by the two Manthey-run Porsche 911 GT3 R entries.
Despite leading for much of the race, Ford Racing and Proton Competition ultimately had to settle for fifth and tenth respectively. They will now look to return stronger at their home event, Lone Star Le Mans, where Ford secured a historic 1-2 result in Hyperpole last season.

Top 6 for Mercedes AMG!
The fifth-placed No. 88 Ford Mustang GT3 was followed by the No. 61 Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG GT3. Last year’s São Paulo winners, Akkodis ASP Team, finished seventh with the No. 87 Lexus RC F GT3, despite running at the front of the field for much of the race.
TF Sport’s sister No. 33 Corvette also secured a top-ten result in eighth place, while the No. 21 Vista AF Corse Ferrari finished directly behind in ninth following a challenging weekend for Ferrari in the GT category.
